Seahawk gallery, August-September 2007:
Only a few jobs were done over the summer period. The large holes in the base of the hull, where the original screws where located, were filled using plastic pipes. The pipes were cut to the correct size and glued inplace using epoxy resin glue. The heat shield was treated for rust, sanded smooth and painted with black, heat resistant paint. The splash hood was also treated for rust. The badly corroded parts (including rust holes) were filled with extra smooth car body filler and sanded smooth. Finally, the splash hood was painted with a couple of coats of gray metal primer paint followed by a few coats of Hammerite silver paint. Odilon helped to restore the engine back to full working order.
