The boiler is now out of the hull although I did have to cut through the retaining screws as they were rusted tight. The firebox is very rusty especially towards the front of the boiler and has rusted through the metal. This region will probably need extensive restoration. The tray under the firebox is rusty in places but still intact. I'll strip the paint and treat the rust before repainting. An interesting find was a thin strip of leather(?) between the tray and the hull.
